About the Role
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead and coordinate technology initiatives within a fast-paced capital markets environment. The role involves managing cross-functional projects involving front-to-back trading systems, regulatory initiatives, and technology transformation programs, working closely with global technology teams, business analysts, and developers across multiple regions.
This position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, and a solid understanding of financial markets technology and project delivery frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Project Initiation & Scope Definition
• Lead project kickoff activities and facilitate requirements gathering with business and technology stakeholders
• Define project scope, objectives, and success criteria
• Identify dependencies, risks, and key deliverables
Project Planning & Coordination
• Build and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation
• Coordinate with distributed teams including developers, business analysts, and infrastructure teams
• Ensure proper change management and scope control throughout the project lifecycle
Budget & Resource Management
• Track project budgets, resource utilization, and timelines
• Monitor project financials and report on variance and forecasts
Governance & Compliance
• Implement governance frameworks, escalation processes, and decision checkpoints
• Ensure projects adhere to internal technology standards and regulatory requirements
• Maintain complete and auditable project documentation
Stakeholder Communication
• Provide regular updates to senior stakeholders and leadership
• Facilitate collaboration across business, technology, and operations teams
• Manage expectations and resolve cross-functional issues
Project Monitoring & Delivery
• Track milestones, risks, and project dependencies
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and timelines
• Coordinate production readiness, rollout activities, and operational handover
Project Closure
• Obtain final approvals and stakeholder sign-off
• Conduct post-implementation reviews and capture lessons learned
• Ensure proper documentation and project archival
Required Qualifications
• 5–15 years of experience in IT project management within financial services or capital markets
• Experience working with technology teams (development, business analysis, QA)
• Strong understanding of financial systems, regulatory initiatives, or trading platforms
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in complex environments
Technical & Methodology Skills
• Agile / Scrum project delivery methodologies
• Project management frameworks such as PMP, Agile, or similar
• Experience using Jira or equivalent project tracking tools
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
