Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead and manage various automation projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating project charters, reviewing system configurations, and ensuring alignment with the project scope. You will also be tasked with developing instructions for the project team, conducting customer kickoff meetings, and managing project schedules and budgets.

Responsibilities Include

  • Create project charters and execution plans with input from the lead project engineer.
  • Review system configurations with the Application Engineer and Lead Project Engineer to ensure alignment with project scope.
  • Develop and communicate changing instructions for hours and expenses for the project team.
  • Conduct customer kickoff meetings and internal kickoff meetings with key individuals.
  • Facilitate Function Specification with assistance from the project team.
  • Manage all project issues, whether technical or financial.
  • Update project schedules and conduct monthly project status meetings.
  • Manage and report on schedule and budget with actuals and forecasts to business management.
  • Initiate all phases of the project according to the schedule, including hardware design, drafting, purchasing, manufacturing, and testing.
  • Conduct and lead regular customer status meetings through the design and commissioning process.
  • Coordinate and develop Factory Acceptance Test Plan documents with the team.
  • Lead customers through the Formal Customer Factory Test.

Must Have

  • 3+ years of project management experience in industrial/automation, plant maintenance, and plant engineering.
  • Experience with electrical engineered systems and solutions engineered orders.
  • Understanding of electrical schematics, mechanical, hydraulic, and installation documentation.
  • Proficiency in leading a team and managing individuals.
  • Understanding of customer relationships and project interactions.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Aptitude in electrical and mechanical devices as pertains to metals industry automation (i.e. PLCs, AC/DC drive equipment, high voltage and interface devices)
  • Ability to apply basic PLC programming, HMI systems, high voltage equipment and interfaces, and automation techniques
  • Experience working with electrical construction

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eastlake, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
