Primary Purpose of Position
Coordinate and oversee the management of various aspects of assigned real estate
development projects from inception through completion.
Essential Functions
- Provide direction and coordination throughout the development process, from project inception through completion and turnover to Property Management.
- Coordinate efforts across internal teams, including Leasing, Legal, Construction, Finance, Accounting, and Property Management, as well as external consultants and clients.
- Develop and maintain project budgets and financial models for acquisitions and development opportunities.
- Participate in due diligence and evaluation of proposed developments and existing property acquisitions.
- Monitor and support adherence to project budgets.
- Coordinate and participate in permitting and entitlement processes, including representing the company at public hearings and board meetings.
- Manage and coordinate the work of the design team.
- Oversee preparation and maintenance of design and construction schedules.
- Coordinate project design with contractor pre-construction services.
- Review and approve project-related invoices, including design and construction requisitions.
- Lead and participate in design and construction progress meetings.
- Assist in the preparation, negotiation, and execution of contracts and legal documents.
- Support leasing activities, including tenant showings, proposal preparation, lease negotiations, and tenant improvement coordination.
- Prepare budgets, review monthly draw requests, and manage financial reporting for lenders.
- Provide timely and accurate financial reporting for capital planning and forecasting.
- Maintain project data and reporting within the Development Status Database.
Non-Essential Functions

Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; concentration in a related field preferred.
- MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 1–3 years of progressively responsible experience in real estate development or project management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to consistently produce high-quality work.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and cross-functional teams.

Physical Requirements
- Primarily office-based work, including computer use (sitting and standing).
- Occasional site visits, including walking and climbing stairs at construction sites.
- Movement between departments as needed.
- Ability to occasionally lift plans or materials up to 25 pounds.
Internal and External Interaction
- Frequent communication across internal departments.
- Regular interaction with external stakeholders, including public officials, tenants, consultants, brokers, vendors, and contractors.
Reporting Structure
- Reports directly to the Senior Project Manager, who provides assignments, guidance, and performance evaluation.
- Supports the Development Department, including management, officers, and staff.
