About the Opportunity
Our Client is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects across the Chicago market. This individual will oversee projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This is an opportunity to join a growing general contractor with a strong pipeline of work across sectors including commercial, retail, mixed-use, and interiors.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of construction projects including planning, budgeting, scheduling, execution, and closeout
- Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost controls
- Oversee subcontractor performance, scopes, and contract compliance
- Review RFIs, submittals, change orders, and pay applications
- Ensure adherence to safety standards, building codes, and project specifications
- Lead project meetings and provide consistent communication to stakeholders
- Identify risks and proactively resolve project challenges
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience managing commercial construction projects
- Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and documentation
- Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multiple stakeholders
- Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction software preferred
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
