Primary Objective

To manage all aspects of assigned projects from point of sale to customer acceptance in an effective manner to maximize corporate profits, technical reputation and position of MTS within the marketplace (generally including substantial custom mechanical, electrical and software designs). Responsible for all parameters of performance, schedule, budget, technical specifications and customer satisfaction for fast paced and dynamic projects.

Major Areas of Accountability

  • Serves as the overall project manager and is responsible for all parameters of project performance (cost, technical performance, schedule, and customer satisfaction) and all the phases from pre-sales support, order confirmation, project definition, manufacturing process to project closure.

  • Plans, coordinates, and effectively monitors and controls project’s technical and financial progress.

  • Assigns resources for the designing, engineering, system checkout, and performance testing involved with the project.

  • Tracks, monitors, and maintains project vendors, parts, and materials.

  • Leads meeting cadences with internal project resources, external vendors, and customers.

  • Develops and modifies project schedules, tracking programs, and custom tools for organization and monitoring fast paced and non-linear projects.

  • Establishes reliable sold-cost estimate.

  • Creates and delivers formal technical presentations to both external customers and internal management related to job function, program status, or future technical direction.

  • Maintains a working knowledge of applicable MTS product line.

  • Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.

General Qualifications

  • 2 years of project management experience or BS degree in Engineering or related field

  • Mechanical/Structural/Hydraulic experience

  • Ability to travel up to 25%, domestic and international

Compensation Information:

$86,000 - $129,000 Annual Salary, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
