Job Title: Project Engineer (Temporary)

Location: Horseheads, NY 14845

Duration: 12 Months

Pay Rate: $23/hour

Start Date: Immediate

Job Summary

The Project Engineer (Temporary) will support the planning and execution of capital projects at the Horseheads plant. This role works closely with plant leadership and cross-functional engineering teams to assist in coordinating and implementing infrastructure-related initiatives. It is designed to provide additional engineering support during a period of increased project activity.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the execution of capital projects, including scope development, layout reviews, and implementation.
• Create, review, and update technical drawings using AutoCAD.
• Coordinate with teams across plant infrastructure systems, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP).
• Participate in site walks, equipment layout planning, and installation activities.
• Track, document, and report on project progress and milestones.
• Collaborate with maintenance, operations, contractors, and engineering teams to ensure safe and efficient project execution.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Civil, or related field).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Working knowledge of plant infrastructure systems (MEP).
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience supporting capital projects in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Familiarity with industrial safety standards and project execution practices.
