The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a Part Time Project Coordinator to join our NextGen Business Accelerator Team. The location for this position can beflexible and remote.

This is a full-time, benefits eligible grant funded position. Current funding is approximately through December 2026.

The Project Coordinator for the NextGen Business Accelerators will support the planning, implementation, and success of the EmPOWERED to Serve Business Accelerator program. This role ensures seamless program execution by coordinating logistics, managing timelines, supporting entrepreneurs, and maintaining communication with stakeholders. The coordinator will work closely with the accelerator team to deliver a high-quality experience that fosters business growth, innovation, and community impact.

Responsibilities

Program Coordination & Operations

  • Coordinate day-to-day logistics of accelerator programming, including workshops, speaker sessions, pitch events, and mentoring.
  • Manage program calendar and scheduling with internal staff, cohort participants, and external stakeholders.
  • Track project milestones, deliverables, and timelines to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Provide on-site or virtual event support (e.g., set-up, technical troubleshooting, note-taking).

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Support communication with mentors, partners, guest speakers, and sponsors.
  • Assist in outreach efforts to recruit entrepreneurs, judges, or service providers.
  • Help coordinate demo days, investor meetups, and networking events.

Data & Reporting

  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) and outcomes related to cohort progress and program impact.
  • Assist with surveys, impact reports, and funder updates.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Entrepreneurship, Project Management, or related field preferred.
  • Three (3) years of experience working in the social impact space and with business accelerators.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Canva, and virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom).
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Passion for entrepreneurship, innovation, and small business development.

Compensation & Benefits

The expected pay range is $55,000 - $58,000. Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply. The American Heart Association reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range.
