As a Project Coordinator, you will be integral to supporting critical engineering and science initiatives, providing project administration support across all Lines of Business. This role requires a high level of personal character and integrity, and being an effective team player. You will prepare proposals, pursue work, manage change requests, and oversee project portfolio performance, liaising with supervisors, managers, client representatives, and the operations team to ensure efficient project management.

Responsibilities
  • Liaise with clients, supervisors, managers, and the EPC-I/-II team to develop project scopes, prepare budgets, respond to RFPs, pursue work authorizations, and manage work intake.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and managers to determine project portfolio resource assignments and establish project budgets.
  • Ensure project estimates align with workload, tasks, resources, and assumptions, maintaining the estimating tool accordingly.
  • Oversee project portfolios for scope and change management, tracking changes initiated internally or by clients, and communicating updates to budgets, schedules, and resources.
  • Analyze KPIs and metrics such as CPI, SPI, milestones, and burn rates, providing recommendations to supervisors and managers to resolve project portfolio issues.
  • Work with the Engineering Project Cost Analyst to identify and resolve timecard discrepancies.
  • Coordinate and resolve project costing issues.
  • Administer project portfolio management processes, recommending changes for continuous improvement.
  • Share best practices with the EPC team across multiple office locations.
  • Work independently and provide feedback for evidence-based decision making.
  • Perform additional tasks as required by business needs.
Essential Skills
  • At least 5 years of experience in project administration, specifically in scheduling and coordination within utilities or telco workflows.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite products, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, for data management.
  • Experience with project tracking, analysis, status reporting, documentation, multitasking, project coordination, project management, budgets, and scopes.
  • Scheduling background and data management experience.
  • Familiarity with asset management systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Familiarity with utility or telco operations is a plus.
  • Experience with ERP and asset management systems such as SAP or WAM/Maximo is beneficial.
  • A background in P6 is an advantage.
  • Associate's Degree is required.
  • Thorough understanding of PMBOK project phases: Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring & Control, and Project Closeout.
Work Environment

Initially, the role requires full-time presence at the SRP East Mesa office for the first 3-6 months. After training, the requirement is two days a week in the office, specifically on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

This is a Contract position based out of Mesa, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
