The role at a glance:NBBJ Boston is seeking a
Project Architect with experience in the design, documentation and planning of complex projects at various scales. Our market sectors include Science, Healthcare, Higher Education, Mixed-Use Commercial and Corporate Interiors. This is an opportunity to join a fully integrated design studio where a diverse group of visionary designers and architects collaborate as a team from concept design through construction.
In your new role, you will:- Support and lead the technical design and documentation of projects at various scales
- Participate in client presentations, & coordination with OPM’s
- Familiarity in developing and finalizing documents to ensure compliance with building codes, life safety standards, FGI guidelines, with a focus on technical accuracy and regulatory adherence
- Coordinate with interior, MEP, and structural disciplines throughout the design and documentation phases
- Proven ability to collaborate with Architects, Interior Designers, and Project Managers from Concept Design through Construction Administration
What you will need to succeed:
- 10-12 years of experience in architectural design and documentation in medium to large scale building programs
- Demonstrated excellence in design and innovation
- Experience in projects from design development through construction administration, with exceptional problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and graphic communication skills, effective client relationship skills, and talent for working with diverse teams of designers and consultants in a collaborative environment
- Experience with interior documentation and detailing, including casework detailing
- Strong Revit proficiency
- Professional Licensure or progress toward licensure is encouraged.
- LEED Accreditation, encouraged
- Familiarity with LEAN Concepts, encouraged
The annual base pay range for this role is anticipated to be between $110,000 and $120,000. Actual compensation for successful candidates will be carefully determined based on a number of factors, including their skills, qualifications and experience.This role requires the individual to be based in the United States.
