Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is seeking a Telemetry Registered Nurse in Palo Alto, California.

This is an opportunity to support a high-acuity inpatient medical environment providing care to patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and complex medical management. The ideal candidate will be experienced in med/surg, telemetry, or step-down settings and comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative hospital setting.

Position Overview

The Telemetry RN will be responsible for providing direct patient care to adult patients with cardiac and medical conditions requiring continuous monitoring. This includes interpreting cardiac rhythms, identifying changes in patient status, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams, and implementing evidence-based nursing interventions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to telemetry and inpatient medical patients
  • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to changes in patient condition
  • Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
  • Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely
  • Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions
  • Maintain patient safety and adhere to hospital protocols and standards of care

Required Qualifications

  • Active CA Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
  • ACLS certification required
  • EKG competency or successful EKG testing completion
  • Strong communication skills in English

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university preferred

Preferred Experience

  • Med/Surg, telemetry, or step-down unit experience
  • Experience in inpatient general medicine settings
  • Exposure to high-acuity or academic medical center environments strongly preferred
