Program Scheduler II (Contract | Remote – U.S.)
Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8 AM–5 PM EST
Location: Remote (U.S.); occasional onsite in MD
Overview
Seeking a Program Scheduler II to develop and manage integrated master schedules (IMS) supporting complex, contract-driven programs. This role partners with program teams, customers, and subcontractors to ensure schedule integrity, performance tracking, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed program schedules aligned with contractual requirements
- Build and manage schedules using Microsoft Project and Primavera P6 (both required)
- Define task logic, dependencies, durations, float, and critical path
- Perform schedule updates, variance analysis, and forecasting
- Integrate subcontractor schedules into the overall IMS
- Track milestones, key events, and cross-functional dependencies
- Produce weekly performance updates and monthly schedule/cost reports
- Identify root causes and recommend mitigation plans
Required Qualifications
- 4–7 years of program/project scheduling experience
- Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Project and Primavera P6 (must have both)
- Strong knowledge of Integrated Master Scheduling (IMS) and Critical Path Method (CPM)
- Experience supporting contract-driven programs with structured reporting
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with government or DoD programs
- Familiarity with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Background in communication, transportation, construction, or software scheduling
- Ability to operate effectively in high-pressure environments
