Program Scheduler II (Contract | Remote – U.S.)

Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8 AM–5 PM EST

Location: Remote (U.S.); occasional onsite in MD


Overview

Seeking a Program Scheduler II to develop and manage integrated master schedules (IMS) supporting complex, contract-driven programs. This role partners with program teams, customers, and subcontractors to ensure schedule integrity, performance tracking, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed program schedules aligned with contractual requirements
  • Build and manage schedules using Microsoft Project and Primavera P6 (both required)
  • Define task logic, dependencies, durations, float, and critical path
  • Perform schedule updates, variance analysis, and forecasting
  • Integrate subcontractor schedules into the overall IMS
  • Track milestones, key events, and cross-functional dependencies
  • Produce weekly performance updates and monthly schedule/cost reports
  • Identify root causes and recommend mitigation plans

Required Qualifications

  • 4–7 years of program/project scheduling experience
  • Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Project and Primavera P6 (must have both)
  • Strong knowledge of Integrated Master Scheduling (IMS) and Critical Path Method (CPM)
  • Experience supporting contract-driven programs with structured reporting
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with government or DoD programs
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Background in communication, transportation, construction, or software scheduling
  • Ability to operate effectively in high-pressure environments

Additional Details

  • Remote role with occasional travel (1–4 times per year)
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
