General Summary: The Program Manager is responsible for managing the strategic planning of programs and developing and executing plans for implementation and administration using program management tools and best practices. Oversee the coordination of program activities and cross functional teams to successfully complete all the required tasks with respect to planning, establishing work schedules, assignments, and resources to meet program objectives. Work closely with the Angstrom leadership team and assume full profit and loss accountability for all programs. Develop mechanisms for monitoring progress of programs and focus on establishing and maintaining strong customer relationships.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop plans and ensure program status is communicated to the Angstrom leadership team.
- Engage with key stakeholders to understand the product and user requirements.
- Lead programs to business operations and work with various stakeholders and leaders to lay out plans, implement strategies, and resource requirements.
- Ensure status, issues, and decisions are documented and appropriately communicated across the organization.
- Work cross functionally with corporate teams in order to accomplish program goals and build a robust network of support functions and contacts.
- Establish assignments and deliverables for the Program Management team.
- Support staffing requirements and participate in the hiring process.
- Facilitate regular meetings with the Angstrom leadership team to help identify and solidify business requirements.
- Plan and organize activities to ensure that programs are appropriately resourced, and realistic plans are in place to meet quality, schedule, and functionality goals.
- Support aspects of the program lifecycle to ensure successful execution.
- Motivate and inspire other team members.
- Champion change and effectively manages the implementation of new ideas.
- Promote program management disciplines and methodologies.
- Set and review measurable and attainable goals to support staff development.
- Create, review, analyze, document, and implement guidelines, standards, and procedures as part of continuous improvement initiatives.
- Establish and communicate clear priorities and influence others to support and act on these priorities.
- Manage multiple programs with competing resources and requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Five plus years of high-volume manufacturing experience.
- Technical management experience.
- Working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
- Organized and focused on successful execution.
- Critical problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
- Subject matter expertise in areas including program management, risk identification and mitigation, and resource allocation.
- Knowledge of financial concepts regarding opportunity assessment and cost-benefit analysis.
- Experience presenting to a leadership team with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts.
