About the Role:

As Program Manager, you will oversee the administrative and operational functions of a large, multidisciplinary research center. You’ll partner closely with faculty, investigators, and institutional leaders to ensure efficient management of sponsored research programs, budgets, and compliance requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of complex, grant-funded research programs (NIH and other sponsors)
  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and reporting for multiple research awards and programs
  • Partner with investigators to monitor grant utilization and ensure alignment with funding requirements
  • Serve as a key liaison across internal departments, external collaborators, and regulatory agencies
  • Lead pre- and post-award grant administration in coordination with research administration offices
  • Ensure compliance with federal, sponsor, and institutional policies
  • Support proposal development, progress reporting, and renewal submissions
  • Oversee administrative staff and support hiring, performance management, and HR processes


What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years of experience in business operations, research administration, or program management
  • Experience working with sponsored research (NIH or similar funding) strongly preferred
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting and grant management
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across complex organizations
