Program Manager, Annual Giving

The Program Manager, Annual Giving drives strategies and tactics necessary to maximize revenue, donor acquisition, and donor cultivation across Annual Giving programs. Serving as a bridge between high-level strategy and execution, this role partners with leadership to oversee multi-year operating plans, track KPIs against industry benchmarks, lead select fundraising projects and manage program budgets to improve fundraising velocity and efficiency. By employing rigorous project management, the Program Manager ensures optimal resource utilization and cross-team alignment to consistently meet fundraising milestones and Seattle Children’s priorities.

  • Responsible for facilitating goals, strategies, and tactics necessary to expand integrated Annual Giving fundraising with an emphasis on increasing both fundraising velocity and efficiency across teams. Help set and track goals and strategies that support teams’ effectiveness in alignment with Foundation and Guild Association standards and timelines to maximize annual revenue, charity of choice and philanthropic engagement for Seattle Children’s.

  • In partnership with the Sr. Director, Annual Giving and program directors, oversees the creation and analysis of KPIs and performance dashboards to monitor program health and mitigate risks. Oversees cross-team projects while managing annual budgeting and operational planning. Assist directors in the preparation of fundraising projections to support the overall growth of the organization’s development efforts.

  • Provide lead support to internal partners, including but not limited to Advancement Services teams and Marketing & Communications to improve and streamline cross-team processes.

  • Plan, manage and execute elements of select Annual Giving projects including, but not limited to, donor solicitations, gift acknowledgements, projects and events. Provide high level support for select Annual Giving programs including setting meeting agendas, creating meeting materials (including pulling and analyzing and preparing program data for presentation. Provide timely follow-up on meeting deliverables. Prepare, initiate and respond to correspondence with donors in a timely manner and with a high-level of customer service. Manage donor lists for distribution of solicitations, informational mailings and invitations; determine appropriate distribution to donors.

  • Participate in the selection and management of vendors and contractors for particular elements of projects. Anticipate and resolve workflow barriers so that projects are coordinated effectively. Monitor project timelines and track project results. Adhere to state and federal laws and Seattle Children’s policies for protecting donor and patient privacy. Liaise with peer institutions working with similar annual giving programs.

Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.Three to five years experience in relationship building, fundraising, marketing, or communications, including project and event management, public speaking, database and volunteer management.Familiarity with relational databases (Blackbaud CRM, Salesforce, etc.) and their functionality related to activity reporting.Highly organized with the ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative.Familiarity with fundraising best practices, organization and management.Proficient in MS Office, MS Outlook, and Smartsheet.

Preferred
Experience managing multi-faceted fundraising projects with complex timelines.Preferential consideration will be given to candidates with a history working in a healthcare philanthropy role, especially in grateful patient fundraising.Experience producing print and online communications for multiple vehicles and tactics (print: letters, postcards, articles, etc. and online: emails, websites, etc.).Familiarity with telephone fundraising programs.

Compensation Range

$88,786.00 - $133,180.00 per year

Salary Information

This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
