The Program Aide works at BREC recreation sites assisting staff with activities, supervising sports, recreational/educational activities on site and on field trips, adhering to operating and safety rules and regulations.
Experience working with youth; Ability to supervise and actively participate with 10-15 active children;
Ability to work with participants, staff, and the general public;
Leadership skills, including ability to inspire confidence and enthusiasm to participants;
Skilled in varied sports/recreation activities such as bowling, skating, field games, etc.
Ability to adapt activities for children with disabilities so that inclusion (interaction with children with and without disabilities can participate together) can occur is preferred.
Essential Functions of the Job:Duties include but not limited to:Part-time position, as scheduled for entire recreation program, within general framework of 29 hours per week.
