Production Worker – Tacoma, WA | $22–$30/hr

What You’ll Do

  • Verify materials, dimensions, and machining tolerances before and during production
  • Build and assemble doors, including installing hardware and components per work orders
  • Inspect finished products for accuracy, quality, and compliance with building codes
  • Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting to keep production flowing
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas to support safety and efficiency
  • Complete daily logs and production paperwork with accurate counts and documentation
  • Communicate production or quality issues to supervisors promptly
  • Use rollers and conveyance systems to move materials through the shop
  • Support warehouse tasks: loading, unloading, wrapping, palletizing, packaging, and shipping
  • Follow all safety procedures and report hazards or equipment issues immediately
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support production goals

What You Bring

  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical issues
  • 3–6 months of experience using hand and power tools (production, construction, carpentry, or similar)
  • Ability to read a tape measure accurately and follow work orders
  • Reliable attendance and consistent work performance
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and occasionally lift 80–100 lbs
  • Fine motor skills for handling small parts, tools, and hardware
  • Ability to stand 8–10 hours per day and work overtime when needed
  • Comfort with bending, squatting, pushing, and lifting throughout the shift
  • Pride in producing quality work in a labor‑intensive environment

Preferred Experience

  • Wood shop or door shop experience (highly preferred)
  • Carpentry or framing experience
  • General warehouse experience: loading, unloading, wrapping, palletizing, packaging, shipping
  • Previous work in production or manufacturing
  • Strong initiative and a proactive, solutions‑focused mindset
  • Ability to communicate professionally and work well within a team

Work Environment

This role is based in a large custom manufacturing facility focused on door production, assembly, and shipping. You’ll work around woodworking machinery, overhead cranes, forklifts, and moving equipment, requiring strong situational awareness and adherence to safety protocols. The environment includes sawdust, noise, and multiple stages of production.

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
  • Overtime: Occasional, based on business needs
  • Physical demands: Frequent standing, bending, squatting, pushing, lifting heavy materials
  • PPE: Required; industrial‑appropriate attire expected

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
