Job Title: Production Worker – Overnight Shift
Job Description

This overnight Production Worker role offers the opportunity to learn and grow in a clean, fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will work alongside an experienced trainer and a Technician to support the production line, perform inspections, enter data, and help keep operations running smoothly. This position is ideal for individuals who are ambitious, enjoy hands-on work, and want to build a long-term career in manufacturing while working a schedule that provides significant time off throughout the year.

Responsibilities

  • Support the daily operation of the production line on the overnight shift from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. on a rotating 2 days on, 2 days off schedule.
  • Perform consistent visual and quality inspections throughout the shift to ensure products meet specifications.
  • Accurately enter production and inspection data into a computer system as required.
  • Work closely with a Technician who sets up the line and performs changeovers for new products, supporting smooth transitions between runs.
  • Monitor the production line to help ensure it runs efficiently and address basic issues or escalate concerns as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area by organizing products, sweeping, and removing debris.
  • Use basic hand tools and measuring tools such as rulers, and potentially micrometers and calipers, to complete tasks accurately.
  • Relieve coworkers during their breaks to support continuous operation of the production line.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures while working in a fast-paced environment with continuous activity.
  • Participate in training and performance reviews, applying feedback to improve skills and productivity.
Essential Skills
  • Strong, stable work history with consistent job tenure and limited job-hopping.
  • Demonstrated ambition and willingness to learn new skills in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read a ruler accurately and perform basic math calculations.
  • Successful completion of a ruler test as part of the hiring or onboarding process.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced production environment with continuous tasks.
  • Basic computer skills for entering data and updating production information.
  • Ability to perform general production, assembly, machine operation, inspection, and related tasks as trained.
  • Willingness to work a 12-hour overnight shift (7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.) on a rotating 2 days on, 2 days off schedule.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience working in a fast-paced setting such as manufacturing, warehousing, or similar environments.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly on a production floor.
  • Experience using micrometers and calipers for precise measurements.
  • Familiarity with hand tools, machine operation, and basic inspection processes.
  • Interest in growing into roles such as Utility Technician, Set Up Technician, or Lead Technician over time.
Why Work Here?

You will join a manufacturing team that invests in long-term employee success, offering structured training, clear growth paths, and frequent performance feedback. The schedule allows you to work only about half the days in a year, with built-in overtime every other week, providing both stability and significant time off. New hires receive dedicated one-on-one training and ongoing reviews that can lead to raises and advancement. The production floor has strong employee tenure, reflecting a supportive environment where many team members build long careers. You will also enjoy a modern break area, convenient amenities, and a culture that recognizes development and progression from entry-level roles into more technical positions.

Work Environment

The work environment is a very well-lit, clean, and organized manufacturing facility. You will work a 12-hour overnight shift from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. on a rotating schedule of 2 days on and 2 days off, alternating between 36-hour and 48-hour workweeks, which provides built-in overtime every other week. The role involves general production, assembly, machine operation, and inspection, using hand tools, measuring devices such as rulers (and potentially micrometers and calipers), and computer systems for data entry. The facility features a brand-new cafeteria with coolers, vending machines, multiple food options, and seasonal treats such as ice cream in the summer. Each employee receives a personal locker on their first day. During each 12-hour shift, you will receive two paid 15-minute breaks and one unpaid 30-minute lunch. The production floor emphasizes cleanliness, organization, and safety, and you will be expected to maintain a tidy work area throughout your shift.
