Shift:: 2nd Shift - Monday - Friday (3:00PM - 11:00PM)


Essential Functions

  • Oversee, provide leadership for and coordinate activities for production within the plant to ensure quality and productivity measurements are acceptable.
  • Supervise all employees in your department and manage the flow of production.
  • Encourage teamwork within the lines and across all shifts.
  • Responsible for training team members in their operations and the safety requirements of that operation.
  • Responsible for maintaining high standards for housekeeping, safety and general maintenance.
  • Actively participate in all aspects of quality control as it related to daily production.
  • Verify work standards/ set up sheets, quality checkpoint sheets and all other production related documents are present at the point of use and up to date. Must also ensure employees follow them.
  • Monitor scrap on daily basis and implement corrective actions to achieve yearly scrap goals.
  • Focus on improving product and process capability.
  • Forward thinking and self-motivated in relation to production floor/ systems improvements.
  • Involved in problem solving and corrective actions related to production issues.
  • Oversee production meetings with employees in your department.
  • Liaison to Team Leaders on all shifts (Coach, Lead, and Direct).
  • Able to coach and give disciplinary notices to employees when necessary.
  • Update and assess employee-training matrix at all times.
  • Schedule and post overtime requirements when necessary.
  • Monitor vacation and attendance of employees in your department. Responsible for time entry.
  • Supports, enforces and complies with all company policies and procedures.
  • In charge of completing performance evaluations on employees.


Experience Required:

  • Must be willing to accept phone calls during off hours.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • 3+ years manufacturing or assembly experience, Union experience preferred & Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Solution oriented with the ability to investigate and analyze data for problem solving.
  • Project Management skills and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to think and act cross-functionally.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude with strong attention to detail focus.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, highly complex setting.


Skills:

  • Solution oriented with the ability to investigate and analyze data for problem solving.

  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to think and act cross-functionally.
  • Computer proficiency in a Windows environment utilizing Microsoft Office.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude with strong attention to detail focus.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, highly complex setting.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Must be flexible to work on first, second or third shift.
  • Must have the ability to work overtime and weekends as required.


Education Qualification

High School Diploma is required & College degree or some college preferred.
