Production Supervisor - Day Shift

This role leads daily packaging operations & processes by enforcing company policies, driving productivity, and supporting employee performance. Responsibilities include, resolving equipment and personnel issues, assisting with hiring and evaluations, and ensuring accurate documentation and quality standards are met.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Foster teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment within the department.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with those you lead as well as other supervisors & management regarding operational performance, staffing, safety, quality issues, and department needs.
  • Understand, enforce, and comply with all company programs, systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Lead, train, and support employees to ensure productivity, efficiency, and safe operations.
  • Lead the interviewing and selection process for open positions, including communicating staffing needs and coordinating interview scheduling with the company recruiting professional.
  • Address employee conflicts promptly and professionally through effective resolution strategies, coaching, and performance improvement, in accordance with company policies and the employee handbook.
  • Conduct and document employee performance evaluations in accordance with company guidelines and provide ongoing support, coaching & feedback.
  • Track and maintain accurate employee attendance records in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Understand each lines capabilities and schedule production to complete weekly orders in most efficient way possible.
  • Review daily production records for accuracy and maintain detailed records for each production line.
  • Take the lead role in assuring Certificates of Analysis are accurate and complete, make corrections as needed, and communicate to proper personnel.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
  • Provide coverage in key operational roles as needed.

Qualifications

  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Packaging or manufacturing operations leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Thursday with some Fridays & Weekends when needed.
  • 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Compensation: Expected annual compensation including bonuses is $85,000-$90,000 with growth potential.
