Job Title: Production Engineer

Location: Middleton, MA

Duration: Contract to Hire

Pay Range: $25-28/hr

Job Description:

We are seeking a Production Engineer to support manufacturing operations at a chemical production facility. This role is responsible for improving production efficiency, ensuring safety compliance, and supporting day-to-day plant operations. The ideal candidate will work closely with operations, maintenance, and quality teams to optimize processes and resolve production issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and improve manufacturing processes for efficiency and quality
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions
• Support plant operations to meet production targets
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
• Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams on equipment reliability
• Analyze production data and recommend process improvements
• Assist with documentation, SOPs, and continuous improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• Experience in manufacturing or chemical plant environment
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Knowledge of process improvement and safety standards
• Good communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with resins, adhesives, or chemical production
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles
• Prior experience in a production or process engineering role
