Job Title: Production Chemist/Compounder

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Production Chemist to join our team. This role is vital in performing chemical synthesis on a multi-kilo scale and ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform chemical synthesis on a multi-kilo scale and execute via batch record.
  • Maintain documentation standards to meet GMP requirements, including recording of charges/transfers, acknowledging actions as they are performed, and documenting key observations related to specific operations.
  • Set up, operate, and clean all plant equipment such as reactors, centrifuges, filter dryers, shelf dryers, and milling equipment.
  • Participate in staging of raw materials, loading raw materials into equipment, and unloading intermediates and products from dryers.
  • Read and interpret documents, write routine reports and correspondence, and speak effectively in a group setting.
  • Collaborate with Chemical Engineers to produce R&D Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API).

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
    • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or engineering preferred.
  • 2+ Years of Batch Mixer/Compounder Experience
    • Pharmaceutical Industry preferred

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Skokie, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr.
