Job Description

The Production associate is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring production equipment to ensure efficient and consistent output. This role involves monitoring product quality, making minor machine adjustments as needed, and supporting changeovers between jobs. Candidates must be flexible with scheduling, as shift changes may be required to provide coverage.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and monitor production machinery
  • Monitor product quality and make machine adjustments as needed
  • Perform basic machine setups and changeovers between jobs
  • Read and follow production schedules, packaging lists, and material requirements
  • Ensure production meets quality and safety standards
  • Follow simple work instructions and standard operating procedures
  • Support general production and assembly tasks as assigned

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred (assistant machine operator or machine operator)
  • Basic machine operation experience
  • Ability to read and understand packaging lists, material lists, and production requirements
  • Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Willingness to work any shift as needed

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sandston, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
