Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented 3rd Shift Machine Operator to support our drainage system manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for operating production machinery, monitoring quality standards, and ensuring safe, efficient output during overnight production hours. The ideal candidate has prior manufacturing experience, a strong safety mindset, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment used in the production of drainage systems
  • Perform machine setups, adjustments, and basic troubleshooting as needed
  • Monitor product quality and perform routine inspections to ensure specifications are met
  • Accurately complete production and quality documentation
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety and 5S standards
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and lockout/tagout requirements
  • Communicate equipment issues or production concerns to supervisors or maintenance
  • Meet production goals while minimizing scrap and downtime
  • Work collaboratively with team members to support shift handoffs and continuous improvement
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous machine operation or manufacturing experience preferred
  • Experience working in plastics, pipe, extrusion, or drainage-related manufacturing is a plus
  • Ability to read measurements, follow work instructions, and perform basic math
  • Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed
  • Willingness to work overnight/3rd shift on a consistent basis
Work Environment
  • Manufacturing facility with production machinery and moving equipment
  • Exposure to noise, heat, and industrial materials typical of a production environment
  • Required use of PPE (safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, etc.)

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of London, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.25 - $21.50/hr.
