Job Title: Production Associate - Production Worker

Job Description

A Meat Cutter in a slaughterhouse is responsible for breaking down carcasses into primal and retail cuts while maintaining strict safety, sanitation, and quality standards. This role requires strong knife skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, cold environment facility.

Responsibilities

• Break down beef, pork, or other livestock carcasses into specified primal, sub-primal, and retail cuts.
• Inspect meat for quality, consistency, and safety concerns..
• Properly label, weigh, and package processed cuts.
• Work closely with supervisors and line workers to maintain production flow.
• Assist in inventory rotation and storage of meat products.

Essential Skills.

• Ability to work in cold environments.
• Physical stamina: ability to stand for long periods, lift 50–75 lbs, and perform repetitive motions.
• Understanding of sanitation, food safety, and workplace safety standards.

This is a Contract position based out of Lancaster, KY.

The pay range for this position is $14.00 - $14.50/hr.
