Product Support Engineer (Semiconductor Equipment)

We’re partnered with an advanced semiconductor equipment company developing next-generation lithography technology. They’re looking for a Product Support Engineer to take ownership of complex system issues, support field operations, and drive continuous product improvement as tools transition into high-volume manufacturing.
This role sits at the intersection of engineering, field service, and product development, making it critical to system performance, reliability, and customer success.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead system-level troubleshooting and field escalations across mechanical, electrical, software, and process domains.
- Own tool performance and uptime, driving reduction of repeat failures and improving system reliability.
- Conduct and lead root cause analysis (RCA) for high-impact issues and ensure corrective actions are implemented across the installed base.
- Support the transition of tools from prototype / early-stage systems into production-ready platforms.
- Work hands-on with first-of-a-kind (FOAK) systems, validating fixes and supporting system upgrades.
- Assist with tool installation, commissioning, and bring-up at internal and customer sites.
- Provide technical guidance and training to Field Service Engineers (FSEs).
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, and best-known methods.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering field (or equivalent experience).
- 5–10+ years of experience supporting semiconductor capital equipment or complex electro-mechanical systems.
- Strong, hands-on troubleshooting across multi-disciplinary systems (mechanical, electrical, software).
- Experience in prototype, development, or early production environments.
- Willingness to travel (~25%).
