Rate: 60-65/hr on W2

Location: Remote (Occasional travel required )
Work Schedule: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM EST
Job Summary We are seeking a
technically proficient Product Owner to lead initiatives for an enterprise
HRIS Data Integration Platform. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Architecture, Engineering, and Business stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into scalable, high-impact solutions.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in
API-driven integrations, event streaming, and data pipeline architecture, along with a solid understanding of
HRIS systems and data flow.
Key Responsibilities- Translate product vision into well-defined, prioritized backlog items
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure alignment with architecture and technical feasibility
- Create and manage detailed user stories for API integrations, Kafka streaming, and data pipelines
- Define and document data lineage across ingestion, transformation, and consumption layers
- Lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and demos
- Coordinate cross-team dependencies and ensure alignment across multiple Agile teams
- Partner with stakeholders and vendors to support system integrations and onboarding
Required Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in Product Ownership or enterprise application integration
- 3+ years of experience in an Agile/Scrum environment
- Hands-on experience with:
- Java-based APIs
- Kafka or event-driven architecture
- Data transformation pipelines
- Strong understanding of data lineage and data flow concepts
- Experience with HRIS platforms such as Workday, ADP, or similar
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Git
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications- Agile certification (CSPO or equivalent)
- Experience with Fineos platform
- Prior experience in the Insurance domain (Life / Disability)
