About Arborvitae
Arborvitae is building a modern platform for managing the complexity of homeownership, renovation, and construction. We bring together homeowners, architects, and contractors in one system — combining project management, budgeting, documents, and collaboration.
We have built the foundation of the product and are now entering a critical phase of user testing, onboarding, and early go-to-market. We are working closely with early users, preparing to launch with a first paid group of homeowners, and beginning conversations with architecture firms and other home professionals.
We are looking for a highly organized, scrappy, product-minded operator to help us run this next phase.
The Role
We’re hiring a Product & Operations Associate to help drive early user onboarding, customer interviews, feedback synthesis, and day-to-day launch operations.
This role sits at the intersection of product, operations, customer success, and early go-to-market. It is ideal for someone who is excited to work closely with the founder, wear many hats, and help turn early customer usage into product learning and momentum.
This is not a narrow support or admin role. We want someone who can help keep users engaged, spot patterns in feedback, organize what we’re learning, and make sure important things do not fall through the cracks.
What You’ll Do
User Onboarding & Early Success
- Help onboard early homeowners and pilot users onto the platform
- Schedule and coordinate user calls, setup sessions, and follow-ups
- Make sure new users get activated and continue using the product
- Help users navigate questions, confusion points, and early workflow issues
- Support the rollout of initial paid users and pilot cohorts
Customer Interviews & Feedback Capture
- Join customer calls and take clear, structured notes
- Track bugs, questions, requests, and recurring points of confusion
- Help synthesize customer feedback into actionable product insights
- Organize user learnings so the founder and engineering team can move quickly
- Help identify patterns across user conversations and product usage
Launch & Pilot Operations
- Help coordinate friend-and-family testing and early launch logistics
- Keep track of user pipelines, onboarding status, and next steps
- Support pilot outreach, follow-up, and meeting coordination
- Help ensure early users and pilot partners feel supported and engaged
- Build lightweight internal processes that help the team stay organized
Cross-Functional Startup Support
- Help turn rough ideas and user feedback into clear action items
- Support the founder in managing many moving pieces across product and customers
- Use AI tools to move faster on summaries, notes, workflows, and communication
- Pitch in wherever needed during an early and fast-moving stage of the company
What We’re Looking For
- Strong organization and follow-through
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Comfort talking with users and helping them feel supported
- Ability to synthesize messy information into clear takeaways
- Strong judgment and attention to detail
- Comfort working in ambiguity and moving quickly
- Excited to work closely with a founder in a small team
- Able to balance customer empathy with operational rigor
- Comfortable using modern AI tools to accelerate work
Especially Relevant, But Not Required
- We’d be especially excited about candidates with experience or familiarity in areas such as:
- Startups, founder support, business operations, or product operations
- Customer success, onboarding, user research, or implementation
- Home renovation, architecture, construction, real estate, or home services
- Workflow-heavy, service-heavy, or operations-heavy businesses
- High-touch consumer or SMB products
Why This Role
- High ownership and direct exposure to the founder
- Opportunity to shape how Arborvitae learns from and supports early users
- Meaningful role across product, operations, and early go-to-market
- Chance to help build the internal operating rhythm of an early-stage company
- Potential to grow with the company as Arborvitae scales
Compensation & Structure
This role can be structured as part-time or full-time depending on fit and timing. Compensation will be aligned to an early-stage startup budget, with the opportunity for the role to grow as the company grows.
