Product Manager


Key Responsibilities

  • Own and enforce Copy Exact requirements to ensure functional, performance, and reliability equivalence across all tools, configurations, and customer sites.
  • Evaluate hardware, software, materials, and supplier changes for Copy Exact impact.
  • Define and document Copy Exact criteria, boundaries, and validation requirements in alignment with customer agreements.
  • Partner with customers, applications, and field teams to resolve Copy Exact deviations and approve recovery plans when required.


Product Change Request (PCR) Management

  • Act as technical owner for Product Change Requests, including design changes driven by:
  • Obsolescence
  • Supplier changes
  • Cost reduction
  • Reliability and quality improvements
  • Field issues and customer requests
  • Lead technical impact assessment for PCRs, including:
  • Performance, reliability, and yield risk
  • Manufacturing and supply chain impact
  • Serviceability and field retrofit implications
  • Copy Exact and backward compatibility considerations
  • Coordinate cross-functional reviews and drive timely approval, implementation, and release of PCRs.


Change Control & Lifecycle Support

  • Drive Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) from concept through release, ensuring accuracy of:
  • BOMs, drawings, specifications, and documentation
  • Configuration rules and option compatibility
  • Ensure changes are properly reflected in enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, PLM).
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) and product transitions by establishing baseline configurations and Copy Exact guardrails.
  • Support manufacturing, test, service, and field teams during change rollout and post-release issue resolution.


Cross-Functional & Customer Interface

  • Serve as the technical interface between:
  • Design engineering
  • Manufacturing and supply chain
  • Quality and reliability
  • Field service and applications
  • Customers and account teams
  • Review customer-specific change requests and assess feasibility, risk, and compliance with Copy Exact commitments.
  • Provide clear technical communication and documentation to internal teams and external stakeholders.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, or related discipline).
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor capital equipment systems and subsystem interactions.
  • Experience with product sustainment, change control, or configuration management in complex equipment environments.
  • Working knowledge of BOMs, ECO/PCR processes, and configuration control.
  • Familiarity with enterprise systems such as SAP, PLM, or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and system-level specifications.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience supporting Copy Exact programs in semiconductor manufacturing environments.
  • Prior experience with fielded tools, customer escalations, or factory sustainment teams.
  • Exposure to customer change control processes and contract-driven Copy Exact requirements.
  • Experience supporting global manufacturing and installed-base fleets.
