About the Internship
Jelmar LLC, makers of CLR Brands products, is seeking a motivated, analytical, and detail-oriented Product Management Intern to support product development and commercialization initiatives.
This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience at the intersection of product development, marketing, operations, and sales. Individuals interested in understanding how products move from concept to shelf (and digital shelves), including formulation, packaging, pricing, and retail presentation, will find this role particularly valuable.
This position will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product innovation, refine consumer-facing messaging, and contribute to go-to-market strategies for major retail partners.
Key Responsibilities
The Product Management Intern will contribute to both strategic and executional aspects of product development. Responsibilities may include:
- Supporting new product development from concept through commercialization
- Assisting in the development of consumer-facing claims, messaging, and label content in collaboration with regulatory and R&D teams
- Partnering with operations and accounting to support product costing and pricing analysis
- Conducting competitive and market research to inform product positioning
- Contributing to packaging concepts, label copy, and overall product positioning
- Assisting in the development of PowerPoint presentations for retailer line reviews and internal business updates
- Supporting product testing, feedback collection, and iterative improvements
- Participating in cross-functional meetings with marketing, sales, operations, and external partners
- Contributing to additional projects related to innovation and product strategy, as needed
Qualifications
The ideal candidate is both analytical and creative, with a strong interest in product development and commercialization. Preferred qualifications include:
- Current pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Product Development, or a related field
- Demonstrated interest in consumer products, product development, or brand strategy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, consumer-friendly language
- High level of organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Intellectual curiosity, initiative, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, and willing to further develop these skills
