Position Overview

We are seeking a Product Engineer/Manager for our Truck Electronics Application Group to join our Vehicle Platform team.

In this role, you will work to ensure programs are delivering to our Customer’s requirements and you will also convert technical details into Customer-consumable information via online documentation.

This position will represent all vehicle Models, Platforms and Business Units.

Responsibilities

  • Represent the BID Organization for the Truck Electronics Application Group in bridging the knowledge flow between Group
  • Engineering and Commercial teams, related to software and hardware integrations.
  • Converting Customer / Body Builder Requirements into User Factor Database entries and ensuring that these requirements are adequately supported within Program Charters.
  • Converting highly complex technical information into consumable information for our Dealers, TEMs and Customers to aid in electrical integrations to their vehicles.
  • Support program meetings to ensure Customer Requirements are being represented within our program deliverables.
  • Drive Engineering to ensure technical details are available to integrate into Electrical Integration Guides and all relevant documentation.
  • Work with publishing team to ensure the guides and documentation are reviewed and published in a timely fashion.
  • Research and understand emerging electrical/electronic technologies and how these will interact with current or future electrical architectures.
  • Help with troubleshooting quality issues and ensuring the solution is adequate and will work for the Customer.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science and at least 9 years of product design/development and/or computer science experience
  • At least 2 years of lead experience

OR

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science and at least 5 years of product design/development and/or computer science experience
  • At least 2 years of lead experience

OR

  • PhD in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science and at least 3 years of product design/development and/or computer science experience
  • At least 2 years of lead experience

Additional Requirements

  • Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Desired Skills

  • Strong technical communication skills.
  • Experience communicating with Dealers, TEMS, and Customers.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues/systems.
  • Knowledge of our electrical architecture, electronics, electrical systems, and their interactions.
  • Familiar with TEM integrations.
  • Strong Customer Focus.
  • Both ICE and BEV vehicle architecture and systems familiarity
  • DLB, SDS, NEDS, and OCC.
