Position Summary

The Product Development & Sourcing Manager leads global sourcing and product development initiatives with a strategic and operational mindset. This role is responsible for managing international and domestic factory relationships, driving end‑to‑ end product development processes, and collaborating closely with internal teams to deliver high‑quality, cost‑effective product solutions that meet client needs.

This position plays a critical role in strengthening the vendor base, improving sourcing efficiency, managing risk, and ensuring seamless transitions from concept through production while maintaining compliance with quality, regulatory, and social responsibility standards.


Key Responsibilities


Global Sourcing & Supplier Management

·Lead and manage global sourcing efforts across client programs, including factories in Vietnam, Cambodia, Taiwan, Southeast Asia, and North America.

·Develop, evaluate, and maintain a strong factory network to support scalability, cost targets, and quality standards.

·Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supplier terms to meet margin and cost objectives.

·Provide strategic input on sourcing risks, supply‑chain disruptions, tariff exposure, and new sourcing opportunities.


Product Development

·Collaborate with Sales, Design Teams, Project Manager, and factories to develop SKUs aligned with client trends, briefs, and project requirements.

·Coordinate the flow of product development samples, materials, and specifications between internal teams and factories.

·Write clear and detailed product specifications for production.

·Track development milestones, approvals, and commercialization documentation to ensure on‑time readiness for production.

·Actively support the transition from development to production to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and quality.


Production & Order Management

· Direct end‑to‑end production workflows, including factory selection, raw material sourcing, capacity planning, quality assurance, and compliance requirements.

· Coordinate order placement from buy confirmation through factory ETD.

· Maintain accurate production schedules, documentation, and change tracking to ensure visibility across internal teams.

·Review weekly production schedules and monitor timelines to support on‑time delivery.


Costing, Compliance & Risk Management

·Develop and maintain detailed cost analyses, including factory costs, testing, modifications, tariff classifications, and landed cost impacts.

·Establish accurate selling price in partnership with internal stakeholders.

·Partner with the Business Development Director to ensure factory compliance with annual audit requirements, including social and physical audits.

·Support compliance with CTPAT, RSL, and other applicable regulatory and customer requirements.

·Maintain accurate system documentation and records related to compliance and production testing.


Qualifications

·Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in product development, sourcing, or related role.

·Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience.

·Industry experience within social expression, gifting, stationery, home décor, textiles, or store use products.

·Hands‑on experience developing new product concepts in collaboration with creative teams.

·Strong experience working with international and domestic factories and developing new sourcing resources.

·Proficiency with HTS codes, product classifications, and tariff considerations.

·Strong analytical skills with the ability to balance creativity and cost management.

·Exceptional organizational, leadership, and attention‑to‑detail skills.

·Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·Ability to manage multiple projects and shift priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

·Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
