Note: The Hybrid schedule is expected to have the candidate in-person on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, remote the other days. Candidate's outside of Metro-Phoenix will be considered if they are able to commute for the in-person days.
Job Summary:
Provides support for the entire procurement process in the area of assigned commodities/services.
Working under general supervision develops solicitation and contract documentation.
Analyzes and interprets technical data, policy and regulatory information to plan and coordinate procurement and contract activities.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing solicitations and related documents. May assist in conducting oral presentations, negotiations, evaluations and award processes. May participate in focus group meetings for statewide contracts.
- Provide timely assistance to customers in developing complex technical and performance specifications in areas of specialization. Provide courteous, responsive assistance to customers.
- Recognize issues and identify actions to address them within the applicable statutes and rules. Elevate issues to supervisor.
- May assist in administering resultant contracts in accordance with contractual provisions.
- May assist in post award meetings.
- Initiate timely contract extensions.
- Analyze requests and draft applicable contract amendments/change orders.
- Under minimal supervision, conduct market research/analysis and analyze data.
- Assist in the review of Sole Source and Emergency procurement requests for compliance. Draft formal written determination for review and approval by team supervisor and the Chief Procurement Officer's signature.
- Attend and participate in meetings.
- Special assignments as required.
Required Skills
2+ Years in a Business Administration role (Preferably Procurement Role)
Google Suite and Microsoft Experience
High School Diploma
Preferred Skills
Bachelor's Degree
Experience in Purchasing/Quoting
