The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and fostering a relationship with our suppliers and vendors. You will also oversee the implementation of the supply and production strategies. The Procurement Specialist is expected to liaise with suppliers across the business to align the purchasing process with company objectives and overall business strategy.
Responsibilities
- Procure parts and materials at negotiated rate's
- Conducting product research and sourcing new suppliers and vendors.
- Sourcing materials, goods, products, and services and negotiating the best or most cost-effective contracts and deals.
- Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with Senior leadership as well as vendors and suppliers.
- Maintaining current applicable database information, i.e. part numbers, item descriptions & supplier database.
- Willingness to attend industry trade shows, product exhibitions, supplier visits and conferences to maintain current understanding of new products and trends.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Drive continuous improvements through cost saving, alternative sources and process enhancements across the Purchasing process.
- Assist to develop a supply and production plan to ensure timely delivery to our customers
- Create and monitor the performance of the purchasing strategy
Qualifications
- Strong negotiation skills
- 3 - 10+ years' of purchasing experience
- Bilingual Spanish
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
