About the Role

We are seeking a proactive Procurement Engineer to lead the acquisition of MRO supplies, equipment services, and technical spare parts essential for our manufacturing operations. This role is designed for a professional who understands the technical specifications of industrial components and can strategically source reliable suppliers. You will ensure the plant remains efficient by securing optimal quality, pricing, and delivery terms for all indirect materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement for MRO, spare parts, facility services, mold maintenance, and packaging.
• Source and evaluate suppliers through rigorous quote analysis and negotiation of terms and delivery schedules.
• Execute and track purchase orders to meet operational requirements and minimize production downtime.
• Partner with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to clarify technical requirements and material specifications.
• Maintain comprehensive records of pricing and supplier performance within the ERP system.
• Resolve delivery, quality, or invoicing discrepancies promptly.
• Support inventory management for critical spare parts and essential supplies.
• Provide interim support for direct material planning and order placement as the procurement team expands.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related technical field.
• 2+ years of purchasing experience within a manufacturing, industrial, or automotive environment.
• Proven experience in both production and non-production procurement.
• Demonstrated knowledge of sourcing categories including MRO, equipment repair, and packaging.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and communicate effectively with engineering staff and vendors.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP), including MRP/MPS functions.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.

Preferred Skills

• Direct experience in a maintenance or automotive manufacturing setting.
• Established familiarity with industrial supplier markets and sourcing tools.
• Advanced technical aptitude regarding industrial machinery and spare parts.
