We are representing a global leader in analytical laboratory technologies that is currently undergoing significant evolution and growth. On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Principal Indirect Sourcing Manager to join a dynamic procurement team.


This is a high-impact opportunity to manage complex indirect categories for an organization of ~16,000 colleagues dedicated to improving global health, food safety, and water quality.


The Opportunity

In this role, you will report to the Director of Indirect Procurement and drive strategic sourcing initiatives across multiple categories. This is not a direct materials role; it is focused on optimizing spend and supplier performance within the indirect space to support a global enterprise.


Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy Development: Create and implement sourcing strategies for a broad range of indirect goods and services.
  • Cost Management: Identify and pursue significant OpEx and CapEx cost reductions and budget savings.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations to ensure best-in-class pricing, terms, and risk mitigation.
  • Supplier Management: Build and maintain relationships to ensure performance meets or exceeds corporate expectations.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with internal business leaders to align procurement activities with overarching global objectives.
  • Executive Reporting: Manage and report monthly on savings KPIs and procurement metrics to the executive team.


Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years of dedicated experience in indirect procurement or sourcing.
  • Category Expertise: Deep experience managing two or more indirect categories (e.g., IT, HR, Marketing, MRO, Professional Services, Real Estate/Facilities, T&E, or Fleet).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP Ariba and Microsoft Office Suite is required.


Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).


Core Competencies

Strong negotiation skills, a background in continuous process improvement, and the flexibility to support new categories as the business evolves.

Salary range: $115,000 to $130,000
