Practical Nurse - Licensed, 1-3 (LPN 1/2/3)

We’re looking for a compassionate and reliableLicensed Practical Nurseto provide quality nursing care to residents in stable and predictable conditions at Northeast Louisiana Veterans Home, in accordance with the Professional Nurses Practice Act.As an LPN, you will implementselective aspects of the nursing care plan, i.e., comfort, hygiene, safety measures, nutrition, etc., under progressively more generalized supervision from a Registered Nurse or Practical Nurse of a higher level.

In this role, you will also:

• Observes residents for changes in physical status, mental status, or behavior and reports significant changes.
• Prepares and administers medication and treatments in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Transcribe physicians' orders and record medication and the patient's condition in the medical records.
• Apply dressings, ointments, and other treatments as ordered and document the procedure.

Compensation:This position receives the following pay mechanisms:

The Special Entrance Rate:
Practical Nurse - Licensed, 1 is $19.48
Practical Nurse - Licensed, 2 is $20.84
Practical Nurse - Licensed, 3 is $22.30

PREMIUM PAY(per HOUR physically worked):
$7.00 work incentive pay upon hire.

Shift Differential:This position qualifies for shift differentials, with rates varying based on shift time, day of the week, and holidays..
