I’m partnering with a leading global professional services organisation to hire a Senior Financial Systems Analyst with strong Power BI expertise. This is a high-impact role sitting at the intersection of finance and technology, supporting a large, complex business with evolving reporting and data needs.

About the Role

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys combining business analysis with hands-on development and wants to play a key role in improving how financial data is used across an organization.

Responsibilities

• Design and build Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models for finance teams
• Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into practical BI solutions
• Develop and optimise data models using SQL, Power Query, and DAX
• Ensure data accuracy, governance, and security across reporting outputs
• Improve performance and scalability of datasets and reporting solutions
• Support end users and act as a subject matter expert for financial systems
• Contribute to system enhancements, integrations, and process improvements
• Lead or support testing, including user acceptance testing
• Document requirements, solutions, and process flows
• Manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Required Skills

• Strong experience in BI development
• Proven expertise with Power BI and data modelling
• Solid SQL skills and experience working with relational databases
• Understanding of finance or accounting processes
• Experience working in complex corporate environments
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams
