Hiring: Power System Analysis Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Power System Analysis Engineer to join our team for an exciting project in Oakland, CA. If you have strong expertise in power system studies, electrical design, and analysis tools—this is a great opportunity!
🔧 Must-Have Skills:
✔ Power system analysis tools (ETAP, SKM, PSCAD, PowerWorld, CYME)
✔ AutoCAD / AutoCAD Electrical / Revit (preferred)
✔ Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Key Responsibilities:
Power System Design & Analysis
• Perform load flow, short circuit, arc flash, motor starting & transient stability studies
• Design/review MV & HV electrical systems (substations, switchgear, transformers)
• Develop single-line diagrams, schematics, and layouts
Protection, Controls & Reliability
• Protective relay settings & coordination studies
• Improve system reliability and fault mitigation strategies
Standards, Safety & Compliance
• Ensure compliance with NEC, IEEE, IEC, ANSI, NESC standards
• Support arc flash and electrical safety programs
Project Support
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, utilities, and vendors
• Review technical specs, FATs, and support commissioning
Documentation & Reporting
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, and design packages
• Communicate insights to stakeholders effectively
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Strong power systems knowledge
• Hands-on experience with analysis tools
• Excellent communication and multitasking skills
Preferred:
• Master’s in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems)
• PE License or in progress
• Experience in renewables, utilities, or data centers
• Substation design & relay protection experience
