Grambling State University is seeking to fill three Full-time Police Officer 1 positions.
No experience or training is required.NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.Possession of a current Louisiana driver's license.Willingness and ability to attain a Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certification.An applicant who has been convicted of a felony or who is under indictment on a felony charge will be disqualified until relief from the disabilities imposed by state and federal laws is granted.The official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be found
here.Job Duties:- Provides crowd and traffic control at special events; may be required to intervene in situations utilizing force if necessary to make an arrest, to restore order, prevent interference with normal operations or to protect persons or property.
- Protects lives and property through active foot patrols, enforcing laws and investigating crimes.
- Provides foot or mobile security patrol and enforces parking regulations.
- Prepares written reports for record and testifying purposes.
- Responds to emergencies and renders assistance as required.
- Other duties as assigned

This is the minimum compensation that may be offered. The job title and salary will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
