Job Title: Pipe Installer
Job Description

As a Pipe Installer, you will be responsible for installing, assembling, and securing pipes, fittings, and related components according to blueprints, schematics, and specifications. You will measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes using hand tools, power tools, and specialized machinery. Your role will involve inspecting worksite conditions and preparing materials, tools, and equipment needed for installation. You will test piping systems for leaks, pressure integrity, and proper operation while collaborating with engineers, supervisors, and other trades to coordinate installation activities. Accurate documentation of work performed, materials used, and system changes is essential. Additionally, you will troubleshoot and repair existing piping systems as needed, adhering to all OSHA, company, and industry safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Install, assemble, and secure pipes, fittings, and related components according to blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes using hand tools, power tools, and specialized machinery.
  • Inspect worksite conditions and prepare materials, tools, and equipment needed for installation.
  • Test piping systems for leaks, pressure integrity, and proper operation.
  • Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other trades to coordinate installation activities.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, materials used, and system changes.
  • Follow all OSHA, company, and industry safety protocols.
  • Troubleshoot and repair existing piping systems as needed.
Essential Skills
  • Experience in industrial pipefitting, plumbing, or mechanical installation.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, and technical drawings.
  • Proficiency with pipe installation tools (threaders, cutters, welders, torches, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of industrial materials such as steel, copper, PVC, and specialty alloys.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy materials, work at heights, and operate in industrial environments.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or apprenticeship preferred.
  • Experience with HVAC, duct work, fabrication, cast iron, sheet metal, construction, general labor, duct installation, and using a tape measure.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
