Position SummaryThe Physician Assistant (PA)is responsible for the clinical practice of medicine within the designated specialty, working in collaboration with a supervising physician and in accordance with an established delineation of privileges. Within their scope of practice, the PA will independently and collaboratively function as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) which includes but is not limited to obtaining history and physical exam, determining differential diagnosis, evaluating and managing of acute/chronic medical complaints and conditions, and determining the need for therapeutic/diagnostic tests and procedures. The PA will perform additional specific functions, as it pertains to the specific medical and/or surgical specialties. A graduated level of autonomy is expected and granted based upon individuals’ competency, skill set and knowledge.
Job ResponsibilitiesMaster's Degree is preferred.
Approximately 2 years of work experience in clinical setting highly desired.
Up to one year of post-degree course work and/or an internship and less than one year of previous experience may be considered.
New grads may be considered.
Prior experience with coordinating clinical protocols desired.
