The Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) announces an examination process to create an eligibility list to fill one (1) vacancy for the classification of Physician Assistant in the Federally Qualified Health Center Division. The eligibility list may be utilized to fill vacancies in this classificationfor up to four (4) months.Level designation based on training and experience (see job description). Starting salaries are non-negotiable.
PA I - $115,874
PA II - $121,9044/10 Schedules availableResponsible for providing a variety of advanced clinical duties involved in assessing, treating, controlling, and preventing patient illness and disease within an assigned clinical area; to perform physical examinations; to identify patients with physical and emotional illness; and to administer medications as prescribed.
Advancement to the "II" level is not automatic and is based on position availability, funding, minimum requirements met, and interview outcomes and at the discretion of the Division Director.

- Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician's Assistants in accordance with NAC 630.280 to 630.415.
Physician Assistant I
Experience:- One year of experience as a Physician's Assistant.
Physician Assistant II
Experience:- Five years of experience as a Physician's Assistant.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:- Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate BLS/CPR certificate within ninety (90) days of employment.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a Nevada Driver License within six (6) months of employment.
- PA I:Nevada licensure as a Physician Assistant.
- PA II: Nevada licensure as a Physician Assistant without restrictions
Desirable Qualifications:Primary Care experience with adults and children preferred
