Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
• Active New York State PT license required to start the assignment.
• Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
• Experience in outpatient orthopedic settings treating conditions such as back, neck, shoulder, knee, hip, and elbow dysfunctions.
• Ability to manage a daily caseload consistent with clinic expectations (goal ~14 patients per day; current average ~13 patients per day) using a 1:1 care model and two patients per hour scheduling.
• Familiarity with EMR systems; experience with Prompt EMR preferred.
• Experience working with PTAs and techs in a collaborative, team-based environment preferred.

Assignment Details

• Facility type: Outpatient clinic.
• Shift: Days.
• Schedule: Monday–Friday with flexible hours.
• Weekend rotation: Approximately one Saturday per month (about 4 hours); candidates preferring Monday–Friday only may be considered.
• Guaranteed hours: 36–40 hours per week.
• Patient model: 1:1 patient care. No double booking. Two patients per hour expected.
• Floating: Position may require flexible floating to other clinic locations based on coverage needs.
• Technology: AI-assisted documentation tool available to assist note generation and improve efficiency.
