About the Company



We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this role, you will support licensed physical therapists in delivering comprehensive patient care across various settings, including outpatient clinics, inpatient facilities, skilled nursing facilities, home health environments, and acute care units. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in physiotherapy techniques, anatomy, and medical terminology, with a focus on enhancing patient mobility and recovery. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to personalized care plans and discharge planning processes, ensuring optimal outcomes for diverse patient populations.



About the Role



Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.



Responsibilities



  • Perform therapeutic interventions such as trigger point therapy, manual therapy, and modalities under supervision.
  • Monitor and document patient progress accurately, updating care plans as necessary.
  • Support patients with mobility exercises and activities designed to improve strength and function.
  • Educate patients and their families on post-treatment exercises and home health strategies.
  • Maintain a clean and safe treatment environment in compliance with healthcare standards.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate seamless inpatient, outpatient, or home health services.
  • Contribute to discharge planning by assessing patient progress and recommending appropriate follow-up care.
  • Stay informed about advances in physiotherapy techniques relevant to orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and other specialties.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to medical terminology and anatomy knowledge.


Qualifications



  • Prior experience working in skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, or home health settings is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in physiotherapy techniques including trigger point therapy and other manual therapies.
  • Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology pertinent to physical therapy practice.
  • Experience supporting patients across diverse populations such as geriatrics and pediatrics.
  • Familiarity with inpatient and acute care environments is advantageous.
  • Ability to develop and follow detailed care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams and patients.
