Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist Floater to support our client’s medical facility in Valrico FL 33594. This is a 4-month assignment with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity, and it's a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Title: Phlebotomist Floater

Location: Valrico FL 33594

Pay Range: $22.79-$24.41 per hour

Schedule: Mon-Fri w/rotating Saturdays (Availability between 5A-3P) (40 hrs per week)

Duration: 4 Months+

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform venipuncture, capillary, pediatric, and geriatric blood collections with accuracy and confidence
  • Prepare, process, and handle specimens for laboratory testing following established procedures
  • Perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties
  • Verify patient demographic information, initials, and obtain patient signatures post-venipuncture
  • Ensure specimen tubes are labeled correctly in the patient’s presence
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and patient information confidentiality
  • Create a safe, professional, and patient-focused environment
  • Explain procedures clearly to patients to build trust and confidence
  • Demonstrate leadership behaviors and process excellence skills
  • Handle multiple priorities efficiently in a high-volume setting
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining quality standards
  • Float between multiple Patient Service Centers, physician offices, and in-office phlebotomy locations
  • Travel between assigned sites and ensure punctual arrival at each location
  • Follow all company policies, dress code, health & safety, and compliance procedures
  • Promote a positive and professional image to patients, clients, coworkers, and the public
  • Maintain strong customer service standards and open communication with peers, supervisors, and patients
  • Submit mileage reimbursement for travel between work sites as applicable

Qualifications:

A High School Diploma or GED is required.

Minimum 3 years phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
