JOB DESCRIPTION
Insight Global is seeking a Mobile Phlebotomist to support specimen collection at assisted living facilities and healthcare sites. This role focuses primarily on blood draws, with occasional urine or respiratory specimen collection. The ideal candidate is reliable, comfortable traveling independently, and experienced working with elderly patients.
-Perform venipunctures and specimen collection following standard protocols
-Travel to assigned facilities on scheduled weekly routes (can be as far as two hours away)
-Collect, label, and handle specimens accurately to maintain sample integrity
-Ensure timely transport of specimens to the laboratory
-Complete required documentation and maintain chain‑of‑custody standards
-Follow all safety, HIPAA, and infection control compliance guidelines
-Provide professional, patient‑focused care, particularly with elderly populations
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
-Experience performing blood draws on elderly patients and difficult veins
-Phlebotomy certification preferred Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle
-Comfortable traveling up to 1–2 hours between facilities
