How you’ll make an impact in this role
  • Specimen Management & Phlebotomy: Expertly collect blood samples and oversee the end-to-end processing—including centrifuging, accessioning, and transporting specimens—while strictly maintaining sterile environments and infection control protocols.

  • Laboratory Operations & Maintenance: Ensure peak laboratory performance by setting up, calibrating, and sterilizing clinical instruments and maintaining a workspace that meets rigorous safety and cleanliness standards.

  • Administrative & Data Integrity: Manage high-volume clerical workflows, including patient registration, test ordering (add-ons/duplicates), EKG reviews, and insurance documentation (ABN) to ensure 100% accuracy in patient records.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Preferred Credential(s):
    • BLS Provider. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
    • Certification specializing in Phlebotomy credentialed from the American Society for Clinical
    Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC).
    • Phlebotomy Tech.
    • Medical Laboratory Assistant credentialed from the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of
    Certification (ASCP-BOC).
    • Medical Laboratory Assistant credentialed from the American Medical Technologists (AMT).
    • Tech credentialed from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians. All issuing authorities
    accepted.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
    • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience,
      if applicable.
