Job Description

As a Pharmacy Floor Technician, you will be responsible for picking, labeling, scanning, and preparing finished prescriptions for final verification by a pharmacist.

Responsibilities

• Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently under the supervision of a pharmacist.
• Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle or dispose of them per procedure.
• Prepack frequently ordered medications and label and store them as needed during low volume times.
• Manually package materials and products.
• Pull and pick medications from shelving and other medication storage areas and prepack racks.
• Apply labels to blister cards and scan products for accuracy checks.
• Alert the pharmacist on duty if any medication or product is not scanning properly.
• Maintain designated workstation areas and replenish all stock supplies needed.
• Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA.
• Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code.
• Work overtime, holidays, and weekends as required or expected.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Pharmacy technician license.
• Fulfillment experience.
• Data entry proficiency.
• National Certified Pharmacy Technician certification.
• Illinois Pharmacy Technician License.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong computer and data entry skills.
• Minimum of 1-year pharmacy technician experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to work at moderate speed and handle high volume orders.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Work Environment

This role operates on an overnight shift with a 7 days on, 7 days off schedule (Wednesday to Tuesday). Weekday hours are 8:30 PM to 7:00 AM, and weekend hours are 6:30 PM to 5:00 AM. The position is located near La Grange, IL. Employees will earn a 10% shift differential on top of the base pay.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of La Grange, IL.

The pay range for this position is $20.84 - $23.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in La Grange,IL.
