Job Title: Pharmacy Technician (Entry Lavel)

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter patient demographics and prescription data into processing systems.
  • Resolve claim rejects and address insurance billing issues efficiently.
  • Escalate prescription-related queries to pharmacists for further interpretation.
  • Manage inbound and outbound calls with patients and physicians professionally.
  • Operate automated machinery to sort, count, label, pack, and ship prescriptions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and assist with machine upkeep.
  • Identify and communicate any issues to staff as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and quality control standards at all times.

Essential Skills

  • Pharmacy technician certification, preferred NOT required.
  • Proven experience in customer service within pharmacy or healthcare settings.
  • Strong communication skills for managing calls with patients and physicians.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including internet navigation and typing at least 25 WPM.
  • Open to candidates with 0-2 years of experience in pharmacy.

Work Environment

  • The position requires working overnight shifts from Monday to Wednesday, 8:00 PM – 6:00 AM, totaling 30 hours per week.

This is a Contract position based out of Bolingbrook, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
