Job SummaryThe Pharmacy Tech II assists in preparing, packaging, delivering and charging of medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
ResponsibilitiesGeneral Functions:
MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School Graduate or equivalent; accredited training in sterile products preparation.
PREFERRED EDUCATION: NA
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Pharmacy experience
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Two years hospital experience
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Possession of current Texas State Board of Pharmacy Technician License ; Pharmacy Technician Certification (depending on state regulations) required.
